Turning, Turning, Turning..

A big effort has gone in over the past couple of weekends getting ready for the Bairnsdale Maker’s Market on the 1st December. I’ve decided to ‘double down’ on the turned items that I’m taking along to the markets as they seem to be the most popular. I’ll also be trying some new items including pizza cutters, cake servers and wine glass holders (like the one in the thumbnail). Keep an eye on the news posts for details about how to find us at the market.

One of my favourite woods to use on the lathe is Hairy Oak. It’s a super hard timber and can be a little brittle when you turn it, but my goodness it is pretty. Take a look….
